The Information Technology study program aims to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge about developing and applying modern information technologies in various business systems. Upon completing this program, students should be able to understand problems in business systems and identify appropriate information technologies to address these issues. Additionally, students should be capable of recognizing hidden potentials within business systems and realizing them through information technologies.
The study program is interdisciplinary. It consists of courses from the technical-technological and social-humanistic fields.
The structure of the study program is aligned with the current level of development in information technology, web services, market economy, and modern information systems and meets the requirements arising from the practical application of knowledge in these fields within business systems.
The undergraduate program Information Technology enables students to earn 240 ECTS credits and obtain the Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology title.
The Information Technology study program creates a solid foundation and introduces students to the profession’s essence. The first year starts with fundamental topics—web design, programming, the basics of computer technology, algorithms, and data structures. From the second year, in-depth training begins through a series of professional subjects, making the student an expert by the end of his education.
Information technologies is a practical field, and it cannot be learned only through theory. These topics are best learned and understood through practical work on various projects. That’s why our information technology students have many opportunities for professional development during their education, and that’s why, when they graduate, they have a significant number of references in their CVs. A good CV means much easier employment.
Information Technology
The study program aims to create an IT expert who can program, design, and manage software projects and has solid knowledge of cloud computing, database development, computer networks, and graphic and web design. The emphasis is on encouraging creative problem-solving using information technologies in the company’s operations.
Students who opt for Information Technology study program will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in:
- fundamental areas of information technology, such as programming, graphic and web design, databases, algorithms, and data structures;
- software development for cloud systems, as well as mobile application development;

Each academic year provides 60 ECTS credits through compulsory and elective courses. Elective courses allow students to influence the structure of the study program, thereby shaping their academic profile.
Regional Innovation Startup Center
One of the primary specifics of practical work in the IT field is the need to implement and often independently initiate changes to improve business systems. Such complex practical actions are not feasible without appropriate knowledge of information technologies and business knowledge. The Faculty established the Business Incubator with coworking space to facilitate the integration of business and information technology knowledge. In this place, students can turn their ideas into startups with the help of mentors and lecturers guiding them through the entire process of idea development, establishment, and management of businesses.
