Study program ECONOMICS, with modules FINANCE & BANKING and ACCOUNTING & AUDITING, is designed for students interested in studying theoretical and practical aspects of the banking system operations and financial management, accounting and auditing activities in our country and in the European Community.

Students at Study program ECONOMICS develop the skills and competencies for creative problem-solving and making strategic-operational decisions in the field of finance, banking, accounting and auditing.


The aim of the module FINANCE AND BANKING within the program of study ECONOMICS, is to provide students with the necessary knowledge from a wide area of banking and finance, as well as the basis for further improvements in all three basic financial areas (commercial, monetary, public finance), so students are, upon graduation, ready to take on an active role in further development of the financial system in our country. Particular attention is dedicated to regulations, procedures and techniques of business in the field of commercial and investment banking and financial markets which are only being developed in our country.

After the completion of this module, students acquire the ability for creative problem-solving, decision-making in the fields of:

  • banking operations
  • broker-dealer operations,
  • banking management,
  • portfolio manager,
  • managers in international financial institutions,
  • financing of investment projects,
  • risk management on financial markets,
  • financial and commodity markets at national and international level,
  • public administration and local government,
  • international organizations dealing with funding of development staff training for tasks related to the functioning of financial systems, markets, instruments and the like.

Students who complete this degree program acquire the title of graduate economist.


The aim of the module ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING within the study program ECONOMICS is to enable students to acquire and enrich their theoretical knowledge in the field of accounting and auditing and to gain initial experience and skills in these areas, as well as to master information and business tools that can be readily implemented in any organization or business environment. This module allows interested students to acquire skills and knowledge that help them perform internal audit, forensic accounting and auditing, evaluation and risk, immediately on demand, and provides them with the basis for preparations for passing the international certificates in the IIA (global Institute of Internal Auditors).

In addition to the ability to perform tasks of an accountant for small, medium and large companies, student who has completed this module will be able to perform the following tasks as well:

  • investment advisory services,
  • internal and external auditors (with the subsequent acquisition of an appropriate professional title),
  • financial analysis,
  • assessor,
  • training of staff for jobs related to accounting and accounting regulations.

Students who complete this degree program acquire the title of graduate economist.
